Fear of Failing? Accountability?

Hello everyone,         Everyone may think the VSG surgery may be the "easy" way out of the obesity world, but it's absolutely not! Yes, it's a great tool to help with the process but trust me, it's about 40% of the success. You have to relearn how to cook as far as portioning and serving size. Your eyes see food and want to eat everything, but your stomach says otherwise. It's very difficult to sit there and look at food the same way again.       There are foods you were able to tolerate before and now absolutely not! I feel that I am a victim of self-sabotage. Once I see my weight dropping significantly I would go and eat something I'm not supposed to eat. I then suffer from the pain of my error! Eating carbs hurts my stomach horribly, but then the psychological attack I do to myself is far worse! I blame myself and wonder why I allowed myself to "cheat" on myself and my well-being. Panniculectomy!

 Hello everyone, So here we are at the next steps to my weight loss process with VSG! Just to recap I had my surgery done on June 27 of 2023. It is the most wonderful decision I have ever made in my life. I am so happy that life has changed for the best! I not only feel AMAZING, but I'm also mentally happy with the dedication I've shown for the surgery to succeed.  Yes, I have been stuck at 182 pounds for the past month, but I am completely ok with that, considering I've lost 125 pounds in 13 months! My goal weight is 160, and I plan to accomplish this by October. I want to accomplish this goal by October because I'm seeing a plastic surgeon for a panniculectomy. I don't want my plastic surgeon to tell me I need to hit goal before getting the surgery.   Hello everyone,     It's been over a year since  I got my VSG or Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery. I got my surgery on June 27th, 2023, and it's been the best thing I've EVER done!! VSG: Weight Loss Surgery

 Hello everyone,      Wow, 2023 is coming to a close, and it's honestly insane how much has changed. I got a major surgery this year called a VSG or Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. Which is a gastric sleeve surgery that restricts your food intake, resulting in weight loss. I got my surgery on June 27th, 2023 and wow, has it been a journey! I’ll state my stats below and hope this can help the journey. I'll recommend apps for your phone to help stay on track.  Starting Weight (SW): 308.2 Surgery Weight: 284 Current Weight (CW): 231.1 Total Weight Loss So Far: 77.1     In the next few blog posts, I'll explain all the steps from start to finish of how I got into my doctor's office and what was done after insurance approved it! I'm BACK!

     Hey how everyone how are you? I hope all is well! I'm so sorry for going MIA for such a long time. Well a lot happened from the last post. First thing is I HAD A BABY!!! After two miscarriages we finally had our new baby boy! He was born November 2nd, 2019 at 5:34 am via c-section. He was a repeat c-section that was actually scheduled for November 4th but he came when he wanted to! I'll write another post on my birth story.
